For King and Country

For King and Country is a band that I have been a fan of for years now. Their music has inspired me. They have a mission sent from God truly. They are out here spreading the good word for everyone to hear.

The Priceless Movement:

The band came out with the Priceless movement a few years ago or so. If you attend a concert with them, you will hear them call out to all the girls. They say that all women are priceless and that men should treat them as such. So what is Priceless supposed to mean? Priceless means you can’t put a price on them. Us women can’t be bought or sold for a set price. The Priceless Movement has to do with Human Trafficking. Their movie, Priceless, shows some of the signs to Human Trafficking and comes with resources to report it. They sell a necklace to help spread the word of this movement. Its a coin, an australian penny worth usually 2 cents. For fans of For King and Country, This penny means that you can’t a price on someone. The coin serves as a reminder. Their message is that girls shouldn’t be treated as objects and should be treated as equals and priceless.

So I got to meet them on March 11th at their album signing. They stood there in Mardel, for about 3 hours or so to meet and greet with every fan there. They had performed at Convocation at Liberty University that morning as well. They talked with everyone and took pictures. Very down to earth guys. It was my first time meeting them and to say I was excited was an understatement. I was shaking a bit. I told them How I had seen them at Soulfest up in Nh. Joel said it was a long ways away. My mom,who had attended with me, said that yes it was but that we moved down here. I told them I would be seeing them in August there at Soulfest too. We took the picture which was a series of Selfies that I posted above. They were very nice. My mom who was in front of me, told them how she has a mutual friend with them. She told them a story from Soulfest this past year. They were so nice and didn’t push us to rush with talking to them. They introduced themselves and shook our hands.

Their newest album, What Are We Waiting For?, was released yesterday, March 11th, at midnight. This album is their 5th studio album. This album has a lot of new music. Very upbeat songs on this album. Right now as I write this, I'm listening to RELATE which is my favorite song as of right now. It has such a great message to it. We shouldn't judge someone because we don't know what someone is actually like. I feel like this song fits well with TOGETHER, the single they released in 2020 with Kirk Franklin and Tori Kelly. They actually rereleased TOGETHER on this album.

All in all, I really love this new album from For King and Country. I love what they are all about and how passionate they are. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. They are wicked talented and very nice. I highly recommend What Are We Waiting For? by For King and Country. Just the whole album is a masterpiece.
